In my PhD dissertation, I investigated the explanatory role of chance in molecular and cellular biology. More recently, I have worked on contingency at molecular and developmental levels. My current projects focus on the notion of possibility and modal reasoning in developmental biology, and on reinterpreting Waddington's epigenetic landscape within a contemporary framework.
